Local Web Health — Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 August 2026

The service

Local Web Health provides: (1) a free Website Health Snapshot — a manually-run audit with a health score and ranked findings; (2) The Fix — a one-time, paid, done-for-you service to address findings from your Snapshot; (3) Ongoing checks — a recurring subscription that re-runs the same checks on a schedule.

What The Fix includes

The Fix addresses the specific findings listed in your Website Health Snapshot report — the same findings, at the same severities, you saw before paying. Your tier (Light / Standard / Deep) is set by your report's real health score and finding count, not a fixed feature checklist — a worse-scoring site has more real work to do, so it sits in a higher tier.

In scope: every finding listed in your Snapshot report, addressed to a reasonable, professional standard, within your platform's real capabilities.

Out of scope, unless agreed separately in writing beforehand: anything not identified as a finding in your Snapshot report; new pages, new design, or a rebuild — this is a fix, not a redesign; ongoing maintenance after delivery (that's the separate Ongoing tier); third-party account/platform issues outside our access (e.g. your Google Business Profile verification, your domain registrar, your hosting billing); content writing beyond what's needed to correct a specific finding.

No guaranteed outcomes

We don't guarantee search rankings, traffic, or business outcomes — nobody honestly can. We aim for meaningful, measurable improvement to your health score based on the findings in your report. A perfect 100/100 is not always achievable — some platforms (page builders, older CMS versions, third-party embeds) have structural limitations genuinely outside our control, and a small number of low-severity findings may remain even after a complete, correctly-done Fix. We do not promise a specific score. See our homepage FAQ for more on this.

Payment

The Fix is a one-time payment, priced by tier based on your Snapshot's real findings. Ongoing checks are billed monthly, cancel any time — no fixed contract. All payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your card details.

Founding-client pricing

A limited founding-client rate applies to the first Fix clients up to our published cap — once that cap is reached, standard pricing applies. This is a real, bounded promotion, not an indefinite "sale."

Completion, and the revert-and-refund option

The Fix is complete once every finding listed in your report has been addressed as described above. If you believe a specific finding wasn't properly addressed, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we'll review and correct it.

Where your platform supports a genuine full backup/restore (confirmed case by case — this isn't available on every platform), we take a snapshot of your site before starting work. If you're not satisfied with the result, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we'll restore your site to that snapshot and refund what you paid — a clean exit for both sides. This is the primary remedy for dissatisfaction with the work itself.

Where your platform doesn't support a genuine full restore, this option isn't available, and the correction process above (review and fix within 30 days) is the remedy instead.

Either way, general dissatisfaction with an outcome that was never promised (a specific score, a ranking, a traffic increase) is not itself grounds for a revert/refund; the revert-and-refund option is about the work delivered, not about results outside our control.

Turnaround estimates

Turnaround estimates (e.g. "up to 48 hours" for Light) are counted from when payment is received. If site access takes time to arrange after that, we'll let you know if it affects your timeline — see "Giving us access" on your fix page for how that works.

Mid-job scope changes

If, while working, we find something genuinely necessary that wasn't in the original report, we'll let you know and get your agreement before doing extra work or charging anything beyond the original price. We won't expand scope or charge more without that agreement.

Your responsibilities

You confirm you have the right to request a check/fix on the website/business you submit — this service is for real businesses you own or are authorised to act for. You also confirm that any content, material, or access you provide us is lawful and that you have the right to give it to us — you're responsible for the legality of your own site's content; we're responsible for the work described in this policy. You agree to indemnify us against any claim, cost, or loss arising from content or access you provided us being unlawful, infringing, or not something you had the right to give us. This doesn't apply to claims arising from our own negligence in carrying out the Fix itself.

Site access and passwords

We never ask for your password. Site access is arranged by inviting us as a collaborator/admin on your platform (see "Giving us access" on your fix page) — if anyone claiming to be us ever asks you to send a password directly, that's not really us. While working on your site, we only use the access you've given us to carry out the agreed Fix. We don't use, copy, or store any of your own customers' data beyond what's incidentally visible while doing the work, and we remove or stop using our access once the Fix is delivered (unless you've also signed up for Ongoing checks).

Missing legal pages

Where a finding involves a missing legal page (e.g. a privacy policy or terms of service), we flag that it's needed — creating the actual content is your responsibility, since you know your own business and we're not solicitors. If you provide your own text, we'll add it to your site as a technical step; we don't write, edit, or advise on the legal content itself, and adding text you've supplied doesn't make it our advice.

If our work causes a problem

If our work directly causes a new issue on your site that wasn't there before, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we'll correct it at no extra charge — that's the full extent of our responsibility for issues caused by our own work, in addition to the liability cap below. We're only responsible for the specific findings in your report — any other pre-existing issue on your site, whether or not it was visible at the time, is not something we take on responsibility for by doing the Fix. If no issue is reported within the windows set out above, the work is considered accepted and complete. This doesn't affect any statutory rights that can't legally be limited this way.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Fix is capped at the amount you actually paid for that specific Fix. For Ongoing checks (a recurring service), our total liability is capped at the fees paid in the most recent billing period preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business, beyond what's required by law. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Fix and all other services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in this policy, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that every finding can be fixed on every platform, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Third-party services

The service relies on third-party providers (including payment processing, hosting, and data providers). We're not responsible for outages, failures, or changes on their end, though we'll let you know if one meaningfully affects your job.

Circumstances outside our control

Neither party is liable for delays caused by circumstances outside their reasonable control (e.g. illness, a platform-wide outage, internet/hosting failures on either side). We'll let you know as soon as we're aware of a delay like this.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

General

We may transfer this agreement as part of a sale or restructuring of the business; you may not transfer your rights under it without our agreement. If any part of this policy is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a provision on one occasion doesn't waive it for the future. This policy, together with our Privacy Policy, is the whole agreement between us about our services.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version.
