Local Web Health — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 August 2026
Local Web Health ("we," "us") — trading name of [legal entity name to be added] — runs plain-English website health checks for small local businesses. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
- If you submit the free Website Health Snapshot form: the website URL and email address you give us.
- If a request comes from our own outreach research: a business's publicly-listed name, niche, city, phone number, and email address (found on that business's own public website — not collected from you directly, and not sold or shared onward).
- If you message us through your /fix/[slug] page: the text of that message.
- If you pay for The Fix or Ongoing checks: payment is handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not see or store your card details.
Why we collect it
To run the website check you asked for, to send you the report and any follow-up about it, and to deliver paid work you've bought from us. We don't use your data for anything beyond that — no ad targeting, no selling contact lists.
Who we share it with
Only the infrastructure providers that make the service work: Supabase (our database and hosting) and Lovable (the platform this app is built and hosted on, including transactional email delivery). Stripe, if you pay for a service. None of them can use your data for their own purposes — they only process it to run this service.
How long we keep it
As long as it's useful for the service you asked for, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever is sooner. You can ask at any time; see "Your rights" below.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to: know what we hold about you, get a copy of it, have it corrected if wrong, have it deleted, and object to how it's used. Email info@localwebhealth.com and we'll sort it out — real requests get a real response, not a form-letter runaround. If you're unhappy with how we've handled a request, you can also complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission ( dataprotection.ie).
Withdrawing consent
Where we rely on your consent to process data (for example, submitting the Snapshot request form), you can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@localwebhealth.com — this doesn't affect anything already done before you withdraw it.
Providing your data
Giving us your URL and email on the Snapshot form is required to run the check and send you the report — without it, we can't provide that service. Everything else (a Fix request, an Ongoing subscription) is entirely optional.
Automated decisions
We don't use automated decision-making or profiling that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you. A real person reviews every website check.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies needed to run this site, including a session identifier and basic first-party analytics from our hosting platform (Lovable) to understand real traffic to the site. This data isn't shared with third parties, used for ad targeting, or combined with anything that identifies you personally beyond normal web analytics. No cross-site tracking, no ad cookies.
Security
Your data is stored with access controls limiting it to authorised operators only. No system is perfectly secure, but we take real, ongoing care with this.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top.
